Professional Discipline & Healthcare Litigation Solicitor – Edinburgh An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor with 3 years’ PQE to join a highly regarded litigation team specialising in professional discipline, regulatory and clinical defence work. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in a unique and rewarding area of practice, acting for a broad range of regulated professionals in complex and sensitive matters.
You’ll work on a varied caseload, representing clients in court proceedings, regulatory investigations and disciplinary hearings, while benefiting from exposure to high-quality work and excellent career development.
The Role You will advise and represent regulated professionals in a broad range of matters, including:
Professional discipline and regulatory investigations Clinical defence and complex litigation Court proceedings and public inquiries where appropriate Case preparation, including drafting pleadings, witness statements and legal submissions Instructing counsel and expert witnesses Advocacy at procedural hearings and, where appropriate, substantive hearings Building and maintaining strong client relationships Supporting business development and contributing to the continued success of the team About You You’ll be a Scottish qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE and a solid litigation background.
Experience in professional discipline, regulatory, clinical negligence, professional indemnity or insurance litigation would be advantageous, although applications from commercial litigators with a genuine interest in developing in this specialist area are also encouraged. You’ll also have:
