We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled Litigation Attorney to join our fast-paced, result-oriented legal team. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical malpractice, along with excellent legal research and writing skills. The candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of a case from inception to resolution, including litigation strategy, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of medical malpractice litigation, including research, drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, trial preparation, and trial.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies and stay up-to-date on current laws and regulations.
  • Draft and review various legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, and legal opinions.
  • Represent clients in court and argue motions, attend depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes and advise clients on their legal rights and obligations.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to professional ethics.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals, providing guidance and support as needed.

    • Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be a member in good standing with the FL state bar.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation attorney, preferably in medical malpractice.
  • Demonstrated experience in legal research and writing, with strong ability to draft and interpret legal documents.
  • Proven track record of representing clients in court and managing complex litigation cases.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to resolve disputes in the best interest of the client.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
