Riviere Law Group is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support our Phoenix-based personal injury and wrongful death practice. Working directly alongside founding attorney Roger Riviere and the team, you’ll be hands-on in every stage of a case — from the moment a new client walks through the door to the final days of trial. This part-time role (up to 20 hours/week, flexible scheduling) is a fit whether you’re an early-career paralegal looking to build real litigation experience fast, or a seasoned paralegal who wants meaningful case work without a full-time commitment. Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, correspondence, and other case management documents
- Manage the discovery process — preparing and responding to discovery requests, organizing and reviewing discovery documents, and coordinating responses with clients
- Prepare and file legal documents with the court, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines for both electronic and physical filings
- Maintain professional communication with court personnel, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in a case
- Organize and maintain case files
- Support case preparation by gathering and organizing evidence and documents, reviewing case files, drafting summaries, and ensuring documentation is complete
- Communicate with clients professionally to gather information, provide case status updates, and address questions
- Track litigation deadlines and manage case calendars to ensure timely completion of all tasks
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings and coordinating with experts
- Maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards, including client confidentiality and court procedures
- Coordinate between all parties involved in litigation through consistent communication with clients and close partnership with the attorney through case resolution
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1+ years of litigation experience (personal injury experience a plus)
- Familiarity with Arizona civil litigation procedure and e-filing systems
- Knowledge of calendaring requirements
- Analytical with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Superior time management and capable to handle multiple cases and deadlines at once
- Comfortable working independently in a small-firm, high-touch environment
