Duties:
- Draft and review a variety of legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Assist in preparing cases for litigation by organizing evidence, drafting motions, and participating in discovery processes
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes
- Maintain detailed case files and ensure all legal administrative processes are up-to-date and compliant with firm standards
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and contribute to the overall success of the legal team
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience or internship in multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, or litigation
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms to gather pertinent legal information
- Excellent writing skills demonstrated through clear legal drafting of memos, briefs, and contracts
- Familiarity with legal administrative processes including case management systems and document preparation software
- Ability to effectively negotiate on behalf of clients while maintaining professionalism and integrity
- Prior experience working in a law office environment is preferred but not mandatory; a proactive attitude toward learning is essential
