Position Overview
Under the supervision of senior legal counsel, you will support Tencent Cloud’s international legal and compliance matters and gain hands-on experience working in an in-house legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the legal team in advising Tencent Cloud’s international business operations.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research on matters relating to cloud services, data protection, AI, cybersecurity, and other technology-related regulations.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in the European Union and other relevant jurisdictions, and prepare legal updates and internal briefings.
- Assist in reviewing, drafting, proofreading, and translating commercial contracts and other legal documents.
- Prepare internal legal memoranda, research notes, and compliance guidance.
- Organize and maintain legal documentation and assist with other legal and compliance projects as needed.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Law obtained in China or a European jurisdiction, or currently pursuing such a degree.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills, with a solid foundation in legal principles.
- Good understanding of the European Union legal and regulatory framework. Prior exposure to technology, data protection, or commercial law is an advantage.
- Excellent working proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese to communicate with HQ in China. French is a plus but is not required.
- Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with AI tools and legal research databases is highly desirable.
- Previous internship experience in a law firm or in-house legal department is a plus but not required.
- Available for a six-month full-time internship.
