Indochine Counsel is looking for an experienced Associate to join our Hanoi office
This is an opportunity for a Vietnamese-qualified lawyer with 6-8 years of practice experience who is looking to take on more substantive responsibility, work closely with clients, and contribute to the continued development of our Hanoi team
The role will involve supporting client advisory matters, conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing complex contracts, and contributing to business development initiatives

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Legal Excellence: Deliver top-tier legal advice, conduct deep legal research, and draft/review complex corporate contracts and dossiers.
• Business Development: Proactively identify new client opportunities, pitch fee proposals, and promote the firm's brand through legal publications and premium seminars
• Branch Administration: Collaborate closely with the Managing Partner to operate the Hanoi branch, optimize office management, and drive profitability
• Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative environment, mentor junior staff, and effectively manage project workflows
• Other Duties: Fulfill other specialized tasks and duties as directed by superiors
🎯 REQUIREMENTS
• Qualifications: Qualified Lawyer in Vietnam (must possess a valid practicing certificate). An LL.M. degree is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of legal practice experience, with at least 2 years in management or team leadership roles (leading 3+ members)
• Skills: Strong legal research, analytical reasoning, and independent working capabilities
• Languages: Full fluency in English and Vietnamese with persuasive communication and presentation skills
• Network: Extensive relationships within the legal community, corporate sector, and government agencies. Proven ability to generate business is a strong plus
