Title: Hiring JD Lawyers to Support AI Research — Flexible Remote Work (20–40 hrs/week)

Company: Nancy Assists

Location: United States

What you'll do

We are partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier agent evaluations in litigation. As a Litigation & Disputes Expert, you'll build long-horizon litigation tasks that mirror the work you already do, each paired with a deterministic rubric that grades agent performance against verifiable ground truth. Tasks need to have checkable answers; no open-ended essays, no subjective judgment calls.

Expect to build scenarios across:

  • Discovery: document review with ground-truth tags, privilege logging with known privileged/not-privileged classifications, discovery responses against a rule set
  • Research: case research with verifiable holdings and correct citations, cite-checking against a ground-truth authority list
  • Procedural work: deposition outlines covering a required topic list, discovery-response timing tied to FRCP/state rules

These scenarios will be challenging and take long sessions of focus.

Who we're looking for

  • JD; 3+ years in litigation (firm or in-house)
  • Bar admission in at least one US state
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: ediscovery (Relativity, Everlaw, DISCO), legal research (Westlaw, Lexis), FRCP or state civil procedure, privilege and work-product doctrine
  • Comfortable reading and producing litigation artefacts: review coding decisions, privilege logs, research memos, deposition outlines
  • Clear written communication; can articulate reasoning step by step and encode it into deterministic rubrics
  • Located in the United States

Compensation

$110–$150/hr depending on domain depth and prior experience. Strong contributors are promoted based on task quality and throughput.

We consider all qualified applicants without regard to legally protected characteristics and provide reasonable accommodations upon request.
