Our client is a leading international law firm iand they have asked us to assist them appointing an Asset & Structured Finance Lawyer to join its established Athens practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a 3–8 PQE lawyer with strong experience in asset finance, structured finance and/or related banking transactions to join a highly regarded international team acting on sophisticated, cross-border matters.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced finance lawyers on a broad range of transactions, advising major international financial institutions, lenders, investors, owners and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
The role will involve:
- Advising on a broad range of asset finance and structured finance transactions, with a particular focus on sophisticated, cross-border matters.
- Acting for lenders, borrowers, owners, investors, financial institutions and other stakeholders.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance and security documentation.
- Advising on transaction structuring, security arrangements, guarantees and related corporate matters.
- Managing transaction workstreams and coordinating with international counsel and other advisers.
- Working closely with colleagues across the firm’s international network on multi-jurisdictional transactions.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other transaction counterparties.
- Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3–8 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Strong experience in asset finance, structured finance, banking & finance or a closely related practice area.
- Experience working on complex and/or cross-border transactions.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and an ability to understand and communicate complex legal and transactional issues.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Greek qualification is expected, with additional international qualification(s) an advantage.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment and as part of a collaborative team.
- A strong academic background and excellent attention to detail.
