A boutique law firm based in Central Athens is seeking a Corporate Lawyer with 3-6 years of professional experience to join its team.

The role offers a unique opportunity to combine work within a specialised law firm with an upcoming secondment opportunity at an international-facing organisation, providing valuable in-house exposure and direct involvement in a broad range of commercial and corporate matters.

The Role

The successful candidate will initially join the law firm, working closely with the team and gaining in-depth knowledge of the client’s business and legal needs.

From January onwards, the role will transition into a secondment at a non-profit, B2B journalism organisation supported by an international foundation.

The position will involve advising on a broad range of day-to-day corporate and commercial matters, including:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, including supply, services, works and other business-to-business contracts
  • Advising on general corporate and commercial legal matters
  • Supporting the organisation on day-to-day legal and contractual issues
  • Drafting and reviewing corporate documentation
  • Advising on and supporting matters relating to Intellectual Property
  • Providing legal guidance on GDPR and data protection matters
  • Exposure to employment law matters
  • Advising on issues relating to Media Law
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisers on a broad range of legal matters

Qualifications

  • Qualified Lawyer admitted to a Greek Bar Association
  • Law Degree from a Greek University
  • 3-6 years of professional experience in Corporate & Commercial Law
  • Strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Experience in Intellectual Property, GDPR/Data Protection, Employment Law and/or Media Law will be considered a strong advantage
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, with strong legal drafting skills
  • Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with different stakeholders
  • Commercial mindset and a practical, solutions-oriented approach
