We are a leading health and wellness company looking for an Associate Corporate Counsel to join our in-house legal team based in Delaware. The attorney in this role will serve as a generalist, advising on all legal matters affecting the company, with a primary focus on advertising, compliance, intellectual property, and contract matters. This is a full-time, in-office position.
Major responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts such as consulting, marketing, services, NDAs, and manufacturing and supply agreements.
- Provide counseling for advertising and marketing content and social media activities.
- Advise on privacy and data security matters.
- Assist with developing and modifying compliance policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance regarding regulatory compliance.
- Litigation support.
- Intellectual Property enforcement.
- Interface with outside counsel.
- Other duties as assigned by other attorneys in the department.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from ABA-accredited law school, admission to Bar of at least one state and ability to obtain a Delaware Certificate of Limited Practice if not already admitted to practice in Delaware.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication as well as business judgment, agility, and problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and negotiating skills with demonstrated ability to achieve results.
- Demonstrated success in an in-house legal department preferred.
- Some Advertising, Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, Regulatory Compliance, and Contract experience.
