Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation Jobs in Tampa, FL at Chistolini & Brennan
Chistolini & Brennan, a civil trial firm is seeking associate attorneys. Our firm practices primarily in the defense of personal injury claims. Florida Bar licensure is required, as are excellent legal research and writing skills. Prior civil litigation, courtroom and trial experience is preferred.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting partners in case management and litigation from inception through trial.
- Conducting case evaluations and drafting client reporting.
- Conducting client and witness interviews.
- Taking depositions of parties and witnesses.
- Managing discovery.
- Drafting and arguing motions.
- Interacting with and supervising staff.
- Keeping confidential client information in accordance with firm policies
- Accurately entering billable time requirements on a daily basis.
Requirements:
- Law degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
- Ability to perform legal research, with an in-depth knowledge of legal terminology. The ability to perform medical, scientific, and technical research and knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Excellent legal writing skills.
- Strong understanding of the civil litigation process.
- Excellent teamwork while maintaining the ability to work independently.
- The desire and goal to be a trial attorney.
- Prior litigation experience, particularly in the defense of personal injury claims, is preferred but not required.
**Salary will be commensurate with experience**
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year
