Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney Los Angeles, CA | In-Office with Hybrid Opportunity
Our growing law firm is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join our Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to grow their career in a supportive, team-oriented environment while gaining hands‑on litigation experience.
This position is primarily in‑office, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule after onboarding and training.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of California workers’ compensation defense matters.
- Represent employers, insurance carriers, and third‑party administrators throughout the litigation process.
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).
- Prepare pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and other case‑related documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
- Negotiate settlements and work closely with clients to provide case updates and legal guidance.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar license and in good standing.
- 1–3 years of California workers’ compensation defense experience required.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast‑paced environment.
- A proactive, client‑focused approach with strong attention to detail.
