A nationally established labor and employment law practice focused on management-side representation is seeking experienced employment attorneys to join its fully remote virtual office platform. The firm offers two levels of opportunity: Counsel (5+ years of experience) and Special Counsel (7+ years of experience).
Both roles involve representing employer clients in a wide range of employment law matters, including administrative charges, demand letters, and employment litigation. Work includes matters involving Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI), as well as single-plaintiff employment cases and, in some instances, exposure to class, collective, or representative actions.
Attorneys will work closely with partners and litigation teams and benefit from strong internal support resources. Responsibilities span all phases of litigation, from early case assessment through resolution, with a steady flow of matters provided by the firm and no business development or client origination requirements.
Counsel-level attorneys will primarily focus on direct case handling and tactical litigation work, with limited expectations for in-person appearances. Special Counsel-level attorneys will also take on expanded responsibilities, including supervising attorneys, developing case strategy, reviewing work product, conducting depositions, and representing clients in hearings, conferences, and trial-related proceedings, with occasional local travel as needed.
The environment is designed to support efficient, high-quality legal work in a flexible, remote setting, with an emphasis on collaboration and sustainable workload expectations.
Qualifications include strong employment litigation experience, the ability to work independently in a remote environment, and active bar membership in good standing. Experience with EPLI matters is preferred, and California bar admission is a plus for both levels.
