2. About the Opportunity:
The UR Intake Specialist supports the Utilization Review / Case Management department by managing intake processes related to precertification requests and maintaining accurate patient, provider, and facility information. This role ensures timely communication with stakeholders and facilitates efficient documentation, contributing directly to the department’s operational effectiveness.
3. Responsibilities:
• Respond to incoming calls concerning precertification requests
• Verify accuracy and currency of patient, provider, and facility data in the system
• Enter notes and service requests into the CareMC system
• Communicate professionally and promptly with stakeholders
• Perform additional assigned duties
4. Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; A.A. degree preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Effective time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Capacity to remain composed under stress and communicate diplomatically
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Pay ranges from $16.90 to $26.92 per hour, adjusted for location, experience, and qualifications
