Our client The Bank of Punjab (BOP) is looking for a Unit Head Central and North Litigation – Legal Group in Lahore

In line with the Bank’s progression strategy, we invite applications from experienced, dedicated, and performance-driven professionals for the position of Unit Head Central and North Litigation in our Litigation Division (Legal Group):
Grade: Band-5/ Band-3
Location: Lahore
Job Responsibilities
:
- Manage and supervise the rights and interests of the Bank by effectively handling and managing the litigation portfolio of different business units, including SME, RFD, ACD, P&OEG, and other cases.
- Oversee the vetting of plaints, petitions, CPLA, CP, CA, replications, appeals, and representations before filing in the Court of competent jurisdiction and other judicial or quasi-judicial fora.
- Provide legal support in settlement and compromise agreements entered into by the Bank, vetting thereof, and assist or advise on matters of amicable settlement within the legal framework as needed.
- Supervise and attend important court proceedings pending before courts or judicial/quasi-judicial fora, ensuring timely issuance of POA to external legal counsels.
- Manage and liaise with external counsels to ensure attendance before courts and properly defend the Bank’s interests. Coordinate with business units and relationship managers to ensure the provision of information/documents to external counsels in all litigation matters.
- Lead the litigation team as Unit Head, ensuring effective communication with the MIS Team and assisting them in maintaining updated records of all litigation and contentious matters.
- Recommend qualified and prominent lawyers for empanelment as needed. Provide assistance to the Chief Legal Officer, Divisional Head Litigation, and management on day-to-day affairs.
- Undertake any other assignments entrusted by line management from time to time.
Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification: Minimum LLB or relevant degree from HEC recognized local or foreign university/institute.
Experience: Minimum 09 years of experience in litigation, banking laws, criminal laws, corporate, and recovery laws.
Age: Up to 55 years as of September 11, 2026.
