Title: Trainee Lawyer Vacancy | Papantoniou & Papantoniou LLC
Company: Papantoniou & Papantoniou LLC
Location: Nicosia, Nicosia, Cyprus
Papantoniou & Papantoniou LLC, a leading Nicosia-based law firm, is inviting applications from ambitious law graduates seeking to commence their legal career within a demanding and intellectually rigorous practice.
Established in 1987, the firm advises domestic and international clients across a broad spectrum of contentious and advisory matters, including civil and commercial litigation, construction and infrastructure projects, employment, and corporate. Trainees join a practice where exposure to substantive work begins from day one.
What the Role Demands
Our trainees are expected to contribute meaningfully from the outset. The role calls for sharp analytical reasoning, precision in drafting, and the discipline to deliver under pressure. In return, trainees gain direct involvement in live matters, structured mentorship from senior practitioners, and a foundation built on the standards expected of advocates in modern legal practice.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking candidates who demonstrate the following:
- LLB from a recognised and reputable university. A BPTC, LPC, or LLM will be regarded as a distinct advantage.
- Fluency in Greek and English, written and oral, at a standard suitable for legal drafting and client correspondence.
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications.
- Sound judgment in handling confidential and privileged information.
- Strong organisational ability, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and meet exacting deadlines.
- Eligibility under the State subsidy scheme for new law graduates, namely candidates under 29 years of age, not currently in employment, education, or training, who intend to complete the prescribed period of practical legal training.
What We Offer
Substantive exposure across diverse practice areas, structured supervision by experienced advocates, and a collegial environment in which professional development is treated as a priority rather than an afterthought. Trainees who demonstrate aptitude and commitment can expect a clear path within the firm.
Application
Applications, comprising a detailed CV and a cover letter setting out the candidate's interests and objectives, should be submitted to [email protected].
All applications will be handled in strict confidence.
