Job Summary:
The Contract Specialist, supporting the SHI salesforce and other internal teams, negotiates and administers contracts for resale of software, hardware, cloud solutions, and related IT Services with our Customers and Partners/Vendors. The Contract Specialist will administer requests for contractual forms, documents and customer/vendor contracts in accordance with acceptable standards and maintain all required documentation to support contract administration and execution.

This position is required to report to the SHI Somerset NJ location as per SHI management.

Responsibilities:
Include but not limited to:
Actively participate in the preparation and development of contractual provisions and the administration of contract proposals
Review both Customer and Partner/Vendor Agreement terms and conditions to ensure consistency with SHI acceptable standards
Interface between the SHI salesforce and applicable internal departments to develop contractual documents, negotiating terms and conditions with customers and partners/vendors
Reviews contracts with customers and vendors for risk and to address redlines in contracts
Manage high volume activity while maintaining response Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met and escalating as required
Identify when contract negotiations have stalled due to positions outside SHI’s acceptable standards, and ensure prompt escalation of outstanding issues, in accordance with the team’s escalation process
Create executive summary of contractual issues when required to escalate to management in order to reach contract resolution.
Prepare and distribute final contract documents to all contacts listed in contract.
Analyze information relating to contracts and capture relevant information in appropriate systems for the customer or vendor facing teams of SHI
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (English, Communications Marketing/Journalism/ Public Relations is a plus)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite- Word and Track Changes, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
1-year minimum Contracts experience, directly engaged with the review and redlining of legal terms and conditions, and the corresponding negotiation process with the other party.

Ability to seek a variety of solutions to contract issues, to benefit both sides of contract
Ability to understand contract context, and replicate context in summaries when required
Ability to meet SLAs and manage high-volume activity
Preferred Skills:
Working knowledge of the contracts that SHI holds, especially in the Public Sector space
Additional Information:
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $50,000 – $80,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
