About the Company / The Opportunity:

We are a global technology and infrastructure company that is experiencing significant growth in the data center space. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly collaborative legal team supporting large-scale infrastructure projects and advising on complex construction, energy, and regulatory matters.

The Senior Legal Counsel will play a key role in supporting data center developments, working closely with internal and external partners. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with construction and power matters, particularly within data centers, energy, utilities, infrastructure development, EPC, or related industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Advise on power-related agreements and regulatory matters.
  • Partner with engineering, procurement, construction, finance, and business teams to identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate complex agreements supporting data center development and expansion.
  • Evaluate contractual obligations, project risks, and commercial considerations while providing practical business solutions.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with global legal teams and stakeholders across multiple regions.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on complex legal and business matters.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in good standing.
  • Extensive experience drafting and negotiating data center leases, with a particular focus on hyperscale clients. 
  • 6+ years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house environment.
  • Experience supporting construction, infrastructure, energy, utilities, EPC, or similar industries.
  • Strong experience negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Background with power, utility, regulatory, or energy-related matters.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience supporting global organizations or multinational companies.
  • Experience with renewable energy agreements, PPAs, clean energy initiatives, or sustainability matters.
  • Experience with APAC markets
  • Construction, energy, or infrastructure law firm experience.
