Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hong Kong SAR. The solicitor will handle client-facing legal matters in areas such as financial services and fintech regulations within the Hong Kong and Singapore financial markets. Responsibilities include providing strategic counsel on legal requirements, drafting, advising, and representing clients in financial and regulatory disputes. Among other things, the candidate will support clients operating in the rapidly evolving digital finance and fintech sectors, actively contributing to a team known for professionalism, creativity and forward-thinking solutions.

Handling advisory engagements, regulatory investigations, disputes and white-collar criminal matters in the Web3 and traditional financial services is also a core element of this practice. Accordingly, experience in litigation will be valuable.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience, particularly in disputes
  • Comfort with and understanding technology, including the use of AI as a tool
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is highly preferred
  • Qualified Solicitor in Hong Kong
  • Cross-border / transnational experience
  • Prior experience in financial regulation, fintech and disputes is particularly valued
