Social Security Legal Assistant Jobs in Jacksonville, FL at Farah & Farah

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monthly reconciliation of brokerage accounts
Distribution of funds including beneficiary distributions, bill payment and tax payments
Initiate/approve outgoing funds made by wire, ACH or check
Processing transactions such as income, trades, receipts, disbursements, corporate actions, and wash sales
Accounting for miscellaneous assets including limited partnerships, closely held stock, notes, mortgages, and insurance policies
Communication with trustees, tax professionals, and investment managers

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
Previous trust accounting and/or trust operations experience required
Strong analytical, attention to detail, collaboration, and communication skills
Experience using trust accounting software
Understanding of basic fiduciary terms and concepts
Thorough understanding of fiduciary tax law and concepts
