Job Summary:
We are looking for a Direct Taxation Specialist with 5+ years of experience to manage and ensure compliance with direct tax regulations, handle tax assessments, and optimize tax strategies for the company. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Indian tax laws, corporate taxation, and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Tax Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure compliance with Income Tax Act, 1961 , and other applicable direct tax laws.
Handle corporate tax filings , advance tax computations, and tax provisions.
Prepare and review tax returns, TDS, and other statutory filings within deadlines.
Conduct tax reconciliations and ensure accuracy in tax reporting.
Tax Assessments & Litigation:
Manage tax assessments, appeals, and audits conducted by tax authorities.
Prepare responses to tax notices, queries, and litigation matters .
Coordinate with tax consultants, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies for tax-related matters.
Tax Planning & Advisory:
Develop tax-efficient strategies to optimize corporate tax liabilities.
Analyze the impact of tax law changes and amendments on the business.
Provide tax advisory on cross-border transactions, transfer pricing, and other financial decisions .
Process & Compliance Management:
Maintain updated records of tax liabilities, filings, and documentation .
Conduct periodic tax risk assessments and suggest improvements in tax governance.
Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure smooth tax operations.
Key Skills &
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Indian direct tax laws, corporate tax, and TDS regulations .
Experience in handling tax assessments, audits, and appeals .
Proficiency in tax compliance software and ERP systems .
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail .
Ability to liaise with tax authorities, consultants, and internal teams .
Strong communication and problem-solving skills .
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Big 4 firms or similar corporate tax roles is a plus.
Exposure to international taxation and transfer pricing will be advantageous.
