Job Summary:The Manager, Contracts and Legal Administration works as a key member of the Legal Team and reports to the Vice President & General Counsel. This position involves frequent interaction and collaboration with colleagues from all Jubilant Pharma’s North America business units, as well as occasional interaction with international colleagues.
Responsibilities:
Drafting, review and negotiation of terms and conditions of basic contracts from third party templates and Company templates such as confidentiality agreements, purchase agreements, service agreements.
Provide general administrative and operational assistance for the Legal function, including filing legal documents (including contracts, annual returns and business licenses), processing invoices for payment, processing contracts for signature in accordance with our delegation of authority rules, and preparing reports.
Maintain functionality of the Contract Management System, including filing of all contracts and approval documentation.
Serve as a point of contact for requests for contract review and general legal support and for input and information from the Contract Management System.
Assist with any contract-related questions that may arise internally of through third parties.
Support creation and maintenance of library of standardized form documents, contract clauses, and templates.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the requirements and objectives of contracts.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support the drafting and negotiation of contracts.
Provide support to the legal team on various contractual matters, including risk assessment and mitigation.
Ensure timely execution and filing of contracts.
Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to contracts and contract management.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Vice President & General Counsel or designees.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
At least five (5) years of contracts management, legal administrator, or corporate paralegal experience in an in-house environment, preferably at a life-sciences company.
Significant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree requirement.
Prior significant experience with a contract management system is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
A strong sense of professionalism and discretion.
Extremely organized and detail oriented.
Enthusiastic and open to learning new subject matters.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
