We are looking for a candidate with expertise in the management of legal matters in Group Fintech. This includes providing legal support across contracting, policy development, technology procurement, data governance, enterprise operating models, third-party risk, regulatory change impact and cross-functional legal matters.

As part of your portfolio as Senior Manager: Legal – Technology and Enablement Functions , you will be:

  • Responsible for providing legal advisory, contract review and execution support to MTN Group Fintech’s technology, digital platform, data and enterprise enablement functions.
  • Responsible to support the General Manager: Legal and Regulatory Affairs – Technology and Enablement Functions in managing legal risk, enabling compliant execution, and providing legal advisory support across technology platforms, digital infrastructure, data, cybersecurity, AI, cloud services, APIs, outsourcing, vendor ecosystems and enterprise functions including HR, Finance, Risk, Procurement, Company Secretariat and shared services.
  • The role ensures legal advice is practical, scalable and aligned to Group Fintech’s digital transformation, platform modernisation and multi-market growth agenda.

The incumbent must have the following:

  • Minimum of 4-year tertiary degree in Law or related field
  • Admitted Attorney / Advocate with relevant professional registration
  • Manager track record of 5 years or more; with at least 3 years’ experience in legal and regulatory affairs management, telecommunications, Fintech product, and service management
  • Experience within financial services, fintech, banking, or digital platforms preferred
  • Proven experience operating in multi-country or multinational environments
  • Exposure to complex commercial transactions, partnerships, and regulatory environments
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in defining and executing legal affairs strategies, policies, and frameworks in a scalable/large scale Financial Services and/or Consumer Finance multi-country environment
