SAC Capital is in the business of bringing companies for listing on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (“SGX-ST”), advising listed companies in corporate transactions, acting as sponsor for companies listed on the Catalist Board of the SGX-ST, underwriting and share placements, fund-raising, conducting merger and acquisition transactions, producing equity research reports and fund management.
This role is suitable for a candidate with compliance or related experience in the finance advisory industry, looking for independence and career growth, and exposure to a broad spectrum of finance related including corporate finance, catalist sponsorship, M&A, equity research, corporate restructuring and fund management.
Role Description:
Compliance & Regulatory
- Oversee and manage the Firm’s compliance function across all business lines, including corporate finance and capital markets activities
- Act as a primary point of contact with the MAS and SGX, including on matters relating to Catalist sponsorship obligations and continuing sponsorship requirements
- Perform periodic regulatory reporting to MAS and SGX, including SGX-ST Listing Rules compliance monitoring for sponsored issuers Participate in new business initiatives including application of licenses and regulatory engagements
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments and proactively draft and operationalize policies and procedures
- Draft and maintain compliance policies and procedures to address evolving business needs and compliance risk
Business Support
- Perform client onboarding
- Review NDAs, engagement letters, advisory agreements, and mandates
- Perform internal reviews of front-line business units’ work processes
- Advice management and business units on compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation strategies
- Work closely with various stakeholders and business units to resolve compliance issues
- Serve as a trusted compliance partner to senior stakeholders across multiple business units
Qualifications
- Degree / Diploma in Accountancy, Business, Finance, Law, or equivalent
- Good command of English (written and verbal)
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the finance advisory industry
- Prior exposure to corporate finance transactions (e.g. IPOs, RTOs, M&A) or Catalist sponsorship work is strongly preferred
- Experience in compliance, audit, legal, or a front-office corporate finance role with compliance involvement will be considered
- Familiarity with SGX Catalist Rules, MAS licensing requirements, and capital markets regulations is highly advantageous Able to work autonomously with sound judgment and minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of or keen interest in corporate finance deal flows, sponsor obligations, and the regulatory framework governing licensed entities in Singapore
