Job Responsibilities
- Support the development of enforcement actions against licensed healthcare facilities and Certified Nurse Aides.
- Prepare regulatory actions related to federal Medicare and Medicaid conditions of participation and applicable healthcare licensure requirements.
- Investigate and evaluate allegations of abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of resident property involving nurse aides.
- Prepare and litigate cases involving the suspension or revocation of nurse aide certifications before administrative law authorities.
- Participate as a member of Informal Dispute Resolution panels.
- Assist with drafting Independent Informal Dispute Resolution recommendations.
- Conduct legal research and analyze legal documents, regulations, rules, and legislation.
- Review and evaluate healthcare regulatory and compliance matters.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum one year of experience as an attorney or in legal research, regulatory analysis, or reviewing legal documents, legislation, rules, and regulations.
- Eligible to practice law in the state where the position is located.
- Current Certificate of Good Standing or a valid license to practice law in a U.S. state.
- Valid driver’s license may be required when operating a vehicle is necessary for the position.
