Job Description
Legal Analysis and Compliance
Conduct in-depth legal research to identify changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization, its joint ventures, and independent power producers. Deliver actionable insights and compliance recommendations.
Lead the implementation of updated compliance protocols and guidelines across the organization. Monitor their effectiveness and recommend enhancements to maintain adherence to legal standards.
Oversee regular audits of internal practices to ensure alignment with compliance and legal requirements. Identify potential risk areas and develop mitigation strategies to prevent disputes and reinforce legal compliance.
Contract and Document Oversight
Manage the drafting and thorough review of various contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with legal and corporate standards prior to submission for final approval.
Contribute to the development and revision of corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legal requirements and business objectives.
Support contract negotiations with partners and suppliers to secure favorable terms while ensuring legal compliance and the protection of organizational interests.
Litigation & Legal Project Management
Oversee the preparation of documentation for litigation and dispute resolution processes, including evidence compilation, drafting legal briefs, and coordinating with external counsel.
Serve as the main point of contact for external legal advisors and services, ensuring consistent communication and alignment with internal legal strategies.
Lead assigned legal projects and initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, tracking timelines, and ensuring successful delivery of project objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related discipline from a recognized university. A Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is highly preferred.
Minimum Experience:
At least 12 years of relevant experience within large organizations, with a minimum of 5 years in roles involving increasing managerial responsibility and leadership.

Proven ability to think strategically, with strong problem-solving and sound decision-making capabilities.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of the power, energy, and water sectors, including emerging technologies, industry trends, and key market players.
Strong track record of high-performance delivery, including successful change management and growth strategy execution.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities.
Experience leading multicultural teams effectively.
Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution.
Strong ability to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders, senior executives, internal leadership, and external advisors in a cooperative, non-hierarchical environment.
Superior communication and presentation skills.
Familiarity with the cultural and business landscape of Qatar and the broader GCC region.
