Overview
A global technology company is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its U.S. legal team in the Bay Area. This role will provide strategic legal support across a range of commercial, product, and operational matters, working closely with senior leadership, engineering, and commercial teams.
The ideal candidate is a business-oriented attorney who enjoys partnering with fast-paced technology organizations and helping bring innovative products and solutions to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial and technology agreements, including customer, vendor, licensing, and partnership agreements.
- Provide legal advice on product development, commercialization strategies, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks associated with technology products and services.
- Support the development and implementation of legal policies, compliance frameworks, and best practices.
- Collaborate with global legal teams on cross-border legal matters and strategic initiatives.
- Provide practical, solutions-oriented advice to business teams in a dynamic and innovation-driven environment.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- 8–12+ years of legal experience, ideally combining top law firm training with in-house experience.
- Strong background in technology transactions, commercial contracts, and product counseling.
- Experience supporting technology-driven businesses with complex commercial and operational needs.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and provide clear, business-focused legal guidance.
Preferred Experience
- Prior in-house counsel experience within a technology company within regulated sectors.
- Experience advising businesses with globally distributed teams and operations.
- Familiarity with regulated or highly technical product environments.
