Key responsibilities
- Lead legal support for major corporate initiatives: Provide legal opinions and support for key projects including equity transactions, asset transactions, construction projects, major business collaborations, and fund operations, ensuring overall compliance.
- Coordinate legal documentation: Work closely with business teams and external counsel (if required). Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of various transaction documents, agreements, contracts, and other legal documents, and provide professional legal advice.
- Handle Daily Legal Affairs: Manage day-to-day legal operations related to dispute resolution, litigation cases, external counsel management, and the formulation of internal company policies.
- Organize legal training: Based on company management and business development needs, organize and prepare legal training programs to enhance the company’s overall legal awareness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in a law-related disciplines.
- Holder of a Hong Kong practicing solicitor’s qualification, with 5+ years of practice experience (PQE); OR holder of a practicing solicitor qualification in a common law jurisdiction, with 5+ years of experience in a well-known Hong Kong law firm and/or in-house legal counsel at reputable law firm or a sizable organization in Hong Kong.
- Experience with legal matters related to investment projects or data center construction projects in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) industry is preferred; experience in handling litigation cases is desirable; team management experience would be a plus.
- Strong self-motivation, ability to work under pressure, high sense of responsibility, and attention to detail. Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate in a team, interpersonal skills, and multi-tasking capability.
- Self-driven, excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a good team player and able to work under pressure and multitask.
