Duties and responsibilities
- Providing legal support as part of a sizeable in-house legal team on aircraft leasing, financing and trading transactions, including reviewing, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and providing advice on transaction structures to various business teams.
- Providing legal advice on structures, documentation and compliance issues related to aircraft leasing, financing and trading transactions.
- Instructing and preparing briefs to external legal counsel.
- Reviewing all commercial contracts relating to the day-to-day operations of the Company and assisting in negotiations where appropriate.
- Assisting department head in leading and coaching the junior team.
- Developing documentation required by various business teams, including document templates, and company policy and procedures.
- Assisting in the Company’s corporate approval process, corporate governance and compliance matters.
Qualifications
- Qualified to practice law in Ireland, UK, Hong Kong, Australia or Singapore.
- Minimum five years’ post qualification experience in aircraft leasing and financing work with an international law firm, aircraft leasing or trading entity, or a financial institution.
- Strong organizational skills and be able to work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, with a strong command of both written and spoken English and an ability to draft concisely and accurately.
- Commercially astute, energetic and able to operate independently and lead projects.
