Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Legal Associate with up to 4 years of post-qualification experience to join our dynamic in-house legal team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in commercial contracting and corporate advisory, preferably within the SaaS or technology sector. This role involves independently managing contract negotiations, supporting business teams on legal risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including MSAs, NDAs, SaaS/subscription agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle – intake, review, approval, execution, renewals, and amendments.
  • Provide legal advisory support to internal stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Procurement, HR, Product, and Operations) to facilitate business objectives.
  • Maintain and improve the contract repository and version control systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Enhance and maintain contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and clause libraries for process standardization.
  • Identify and proactively mitigate legal, commercial, and compliance risks, offering practical business solutions.
  • Support data protection, IP, SaaS, and emerging AI/ML compliance initiatives.
  • Utilize CLM, CRM, and ERP systems to streamline contract workflows and approvals.
  • Liaise with external counsel for specialized legal matters, when required.
  • Contribute to training and mentoring junior team members or interns on basic contract review processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B. or equivalent) from a reputed institution; must be enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
  • 2-4 years of PQE in corporate/commercial law, preferably in the SaaS or technology domain.
  • Strong command of contract drafting, redlining, and negotiation, with the ability to manage multiple contracts independently.
  • Working knowledge of contract management (CLM) and CRM systems such as Salesforce or SAP.
  • Good understanding of contract law, data privacy, IP, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior in-house legal experience in a SaaS or global technology organization.
  • Exposure to international contracting practices (U.S., UK, or APAC jurisdictions).
  • Experience contributing to process automation, playbook design, or CLM system enhancements.
