Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Advisor with more than 10 years of post-qualification experience, including significant GCC experience in the real estate development sector. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal advice and guidance on all aspects of real estate development, construction, and commercial transactions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal agreements, with strong expertise in FIDIC contracts, construction law, corporate and commercial law, and regulatory compliance. The role requires the ability to identify and mitigate legal risks, support project delivery, manage disputes, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while working closely with senior management, government authorities, and external legal counsel.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB). A Master’s Degree (LLM) is an advantage.
- Qualified lawyer with a valid license to practice in their home jurisdiction.
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification legal experience, with a strong focus on real estate development, construction, and commercial law.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the GCC within the real estate development sector.
- Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and real estate agreements.
- Extensive experience with FIDIC contracts, including contract drafting, administration, claims, variations, dispute resolution, and risk management.
- Strong knowledge of GCC real estate laws, construction law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent English communication and legal drafting skills. Arabic is an advantage.
Language Requirements
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) – Mandatory.
- Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written) – Mandatory.
- Fluent in Russian (spoken and written) – Preferred.
- Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and communication skills in English and Arabic. The ability to communicate and negotiate in Russian is a strong advantage.
