You will also draft legal opinions and carry out intricate legal research to bolster the work of Canada’s Parliament.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice for Senate operations

• Draft legal opinions and complex legal documents

• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis

• Mentor junior counsel in legal practices

• Support senators in navigating legislative challenges

Requirements:

• Law degree from a recognized University

• Member in good standing of a Canadian law society

• Minimum eight years of specialized experience

• Knowledge of parliamentary law and legislative processes

• Ability to work irregular hours as needed
