We have an immediate opening for a full-time, engaging, and energetic Right-of-Way Agent in our Folsom office, seeking a team player to join our close-knit, multidisciplinary right-of-way team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with and manage the acquisition of real property interests for public projects.

· Evaluate the fair market value of properties and negotiate property acquisitions in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate with property owners, public agencies, legal counsel, and appraisers to ensure timely and compliant acquisition processes.

Prepare, review, and interpret real property documents, including agreements, legal descriptions, appraisals, and title reports.

Maintain accurate and organized records of all right-of-way transactions and negotiations. Support the preparation of project schedules, acquisition budgets, and status reports.

Ensure all acquisition activities are conducted in accordance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act and other applicable statutes. Collaborate with internal project managers, engineers, and environmental staff on multidisciplinary project teams.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

· Valid California Real Estate Salesperson License.

· Possess a valid California Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record. Travel to various project sites across California to view projects, assess project impacts, and meet with owners.

· Requires the ability to travel overnight on a periodic or frequent basis

· Must be available to fly on commercial airlines for multi-day client visits and business trips.

· Minimum of two (2) years of experience specifically in right-of-way acquisition work involving the evaluation of fair market value in the transfer and sale of real property for public infrastructure projects.

· Please note: Experience in residential or light commercial real estate sales does not count as right-of-way acquisition experience for this role, but we are still open to conducting interviews.

· A working knowledge of real estate principles, eminent domain law, and property appraisal methods is helpful but not required for this role.

· Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

· Ability to travel locally is needed for property inspections and meetings throughout California.

· Experience with California public works projects is a plus but not mandatory for this position.

· While familiarity with Caltrans Right of Way processes and documentation is beneficial, it is not required for this role.

· SR/WA or other relevant certification from the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) is a plus.

FLSA Status:Exempt

Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from $72,800 to $104,000, DOE.

Location: In-person at the Folsom HQ office
