This is a hands-on Restaurant Manager role working directly alongside the General Manager to strengthen service standards, develop people, and help build a high-performing restaurant operation. As the business continues to grow, you’ll also have the opportunity to become the onsite Private Events Coordinator with additional commission-earning potential.
You’ll oversee daily restaurant operations with primary responsibility for front-of-house leadership, bar execution, guest experience, scheduling, labor, inventory, and operational consistency while leading a team of more than 20 employees.
Located along Philadelphia’s Delaware River and conveniently accessible by public transportation, this role is ideal for an experienced Restaurant Manager, Service Manager, or Bar Manager looking for meaningful leadership responsibility and the opportunity to help shape the restaurant’s service culture and operational standards.

Compensation
- Base salary of $55,000-$60,000 annually
- Quarterly performance bonus
- Expected total annual compensation of approximately $60,000-$70,000
- Future commission opportunities through private event coordination

Schedule
- Full-time
- Approximately 50-55 hours per week
- Five-day workweek
- Availability for holidays, including Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Presidents’ Day

About the Role
This is a hands-on Restaurant Manager position responsible for front-of-house operations, bar execution, team development, guest experience, labor, and service consistency. You’ll work closely with the General Manager to coach and develop the team, strengthen operational systems, and maintain exceptional hospitality standards.
In this role, you’ll:

About the Restaurant
Lucky Duck is one of Philadelphia’s newest waterfront restaurant and bar concepts located along the Delaware River. The restaurant seats approximately 250 guests, generates $3-$6 million in annual sales, averages 3-5 table turns during service periods, and operates using Toast POS.
Leadership describes the culture as challenging, respectful, and nurturing, with a strong emphasis on developing people while building a successful long-term operation.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily restaurant operations with primary responsibility for front-of-house and bar execution
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of more than 20 employees
- Train and mentor servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff
- Hold team members accountable for service and performance expectations
- Support hiring, onboarding, and staff development
- Create employee schedules and manage labor
- Support ordering, receiving, and inventory management
- Monitor labor and operational efficiency
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards
- Resolve guest concerns professionally
- Assist with private events and event coordination
- Help strengthen operational systems and procedures
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager, Service Manager, Bar Manager, or comparable front-of-house leader in a high-volume restaurant
- Experience leading front-of-house and bar operations
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Scheduling and labor management experience
- Experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong financial and operational awareness
- Event coordination experience is a plus
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and working on your feet throughout the shift
- English proficiency required
