Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a strong background in restaurant management. Mussel Bar Bethesda is a 60 seat seafood restaurant in Bethesda with a focus on great friendly neighborhood service. You will work directly with Chef Brian McBride. The reservation system is Resy, The POS system is Toast, Payroll is also configured in Toast. FOH Tips are configured through PayDay Portal. We are open for Lunch Thursday thru Sunday. We are open for dinner seven days per week. We have a supervisor/bartender who covers the Managers days off. We would like someone flexible who enjoys being in a small operation. There is room for growth in the company.
Duties:
– Manage all aspects of the restaurant, including staff supervision, customer service, and financial performance
– Ensure high-quality beverage offerings and exceptional customer experiences
– Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales and profitability goals
– Recruit, train, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding service
– Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
– Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
– Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
Requirements:
– Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role
– Strong leadership and communication skills
– Knowledge of Toast or similar restaurant management software
– Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
– Understanding of food preparation techniques and catering services
– Familiarity with bartending procedures and POS systems
– A degree in Hospitality Management or related field is a plus
