We are seeking an experienced Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) Paralegal with minimum of 2 years of legal experience to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of SSDI regulations and procedures, possess excellent communication skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, and be adept at managing administrative tasks related to SSDI cases. As an SSDI Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys with case preparation, client communication, and administrative tasks related to SSDI claims.

Responsibilities

Case Management:

Assist attorneys in all stages of SSDI cases, from initial client intake to case closure.
Collect, review, and organize necessary medical records, employment history, and other relevant documents for SSDI applications.
Conduct preliminary interviews with clients to gather essential information for case assessment.
Collaborate with attorneys, other paralegals, and administrative staff to streamline processes and enhance the overall efficiency of the SSDI practice.
Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, including organizing exhibits, witness statements, and legal arguments.
Draft and file SSDI applications, appeals, and related legal documents accurately and within specified deadlines.
Prepare correspondence, affidavits, and other legal documents to support clients’ claims.
Maintain an organized and comprehensive case file system.

Administrative Support:

Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings on behalf of attorneys and clients.
Maintain calendars, deadlines, and reminders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Coordinate with government agencies, medical providers, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information.
Act as a point of contact for clients and maintain regular communication regarding case updates, requirements, and next steps.
Provide clients with accurate information about the SSDI process, timelines, and potential outcomes.
Research SSDI regulations, case law, and relevant legal resources to assist attorneys in building strong cases for clients.
Analyze medical records and other documentation to identify key details that support SSDI claims.

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a paralegal, specifically with SSDI cases, and dealing with the Social Security Administration (SSA) is required.
Strong knowledge of SSDI regulations, procedures, and case law.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with clients who are navigating the SSDI process.
Associate’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field (Bachelor’s highly degree preferred).
