Our primary focus at Jones Law Group, PC is the representation of real estate agents, brokerages, contractors, and businesses in litigation. Our experienced attorneys represent clients in all aspects of litigation throughout California and aggressively defend litigation filed against its clients.

We are a small, fast-paced law firm seeking a qualified Legal Assistant with two to four years of experience working in a law firm supporting real estate litigation cases. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents.
Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems.
Demonstrated ability to format and create legal documents and pleadings.
File documents with various courts (traditional and e-filings).
Calendaring.

Required Skills/Abilities

Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively individually and as a part of a team.
Effectively manage workloads without a lot of supervision.
React with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround.
Knowledge of court rules and procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong proofreading capabilities.
Able to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Experience with State and Federal civil litigation.
Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.
Appellate court rules and filings.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Document management.
Trial Preparation.
E-File.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
