As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly motivated Real Estate Paralegal/Processor to join our team.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and professional real estate paralegal or processor to handle residential real estate closings from contract to post-closing. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask effectively, manage priorities efficiently, and contribute to a fast-paced legal environment. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with competitive salary (based on experience) and comprehensive benefits, including health insurance and a 401(k) plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and process real estate closing documents for residential transactions
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and clients to ensure smooth and timely closings
- Conduct title reviews and resolve any title-related issues
- Maintain detailed and organized closing files from contract execution to post-closing
- Manage escrow accounts and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Provide exceptional client service and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in real estate transactions (law firm or title company experience preferred)
- Working knowledge of SoftPro closing software is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with title work, settlement statements, and closing disclosures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a growing legal practice
- Have past Virginia residential or commercial transaction experience
