Real Estate Paralegal Location: Westwood, NJ

We are a well-established, fast-paced law firm concentrating in residential and commercial real estate transactions. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple transactions simultaneously, and committed to providing exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate closing documents.
  • Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, real estate agents, municipal offices, and opposing counsel.
  • Order and review title commitments, surveys, municipal searches, tax information, and payoff statements.
  • Coordinate inspections, certificates of occupancy, smoke detector certifications, and other closing requirements.
  • Prepare closing statements, settlement documents, deeds, affidavits, and transfer documents.
  • Schedule and coordinate closings while ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Maintain electronic and physical case files.
  • Track contingency dates, contractual deadlines, and post-closing matters.
  • Provide administrative and paralegal support to the attorney as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a real estate paralegal in a law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of New Jersey residential and commercial real estate transactions preferred.
  • Familiarity with title review, municipal requirements, and closing procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and document management systems.
