Position: Real Estate Counsel for Leading Developer
Step into a pivotal legal role with a respected Alberta home builder as their Corporate/Real Estate Counsel. This position emphasizes corporate governance and real estate development law in a collaborative setting.
In this strategic role, you’ll report to the CEO and provide comprehensive legal support for various projects, including multi-family developments and land transactions. Your expertise in drafting contracts and compliance with privacy laws will be crucial as you manage external counsel and oversee legal workflows. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong business understanding are required to excel in this high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate construction and consultant agreements
• Manage corporate financing and governance issues
• Support land acquisition and development agreements
• Advise on multi-family development regulations
• Handle disputes and warranty claims efficiently
Requirements:
• 4–7 years of experience in relevant legal practice
• Accredited LL.B. or J.D.
• Active membership in Law Society of Alberta
• Experience in contract negotiation and drafting
• Strong analytical and relationship-building skills
