A Baltimore-area title and settlement organization is seeking a Maryland-licensed attorney to help serve clients, resolve complex title matters, conduct settlements, and strengthen relationships with real estate professionals and referral partners.
The organization provides an experienced operational team so the attorney can focus on legal matters, settlements, client service, and practice growth.
What You Will Do
- Conduct residential and commercial real estate settlements
- Review title commitments, surveys, deeds, and transaction documents
- Identify and resolve title defects and curative issues
- Prepare and review deeds, affidavits, closing documents, and settlement statements
- Advise buyers, sellers, lenders, and other parties regarding title and closing matters
- Coordinate with title insurance underwriters on complex issues
- Provide legal guidance to settlement processors and internal team members
- Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, lenders, investors, and referral partners
- Represent the organization at industry, educational, and networking events
What We Are Looking For
- Active license to practice law in Maryland
- At least three years of experience involving title insurance or settlements
- Knowledge of Maryland residential or commercial real estate transactions
- Experience identifying and resolving title issues
- Strong communication and client-service skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines
- Interest in developing lasting professional and referral relationships
