This newly-created opportunity coincides with our rapid growth. This role is crucial for managing our expanding business operations and nurturing customer relationships on the west coast. 

You will be working within a vibrant national team comprising over 500 years of combined technical experience. You will head up our new Perth office and will be charged to grow the team and business in WA.  

We are seeking an energetic Principal Consultant, from an engineering, advisory or project delivery background with experience and strong values and motivated to play a leading role in supporting and driving growth through the delivery of sound and practical solutions for our customers, helping them to minimise risk and deliver their projects on time and in budget.  

Key Responsibilities:  

Lead business development conversations, and strategic growth efforts.   

Manage key client relationships.  

Provide strong technical assistance to the GPE team to facilitate the provision of high-quality advisory services. This includes but is not limited to the technical, regulatory requirements and compliance of power networks, generators and loads.  

Provide advisory services to market entrants and participants, regulatory bodies, network service providers, and governments.  

Plan and deliver projects to support high profile clients.  

Lead the recruitment of resources.  

Establish and be part of a growing team with an exciting pipeline of work.

Due to the nature of our business, there may be reasonable changes to your position, duties, responsibilities and reporting lines over time, but these will not occur without prior consultation with you.  

You are required to maintain familiarisation with the relevant energy regulatory and compliance requirements. You are also required to maintain engagement in regulatory, stakeholder and industry forums and may represent GPE from time to time in public or industry events.
