Overview:

This is a provisional appointment.

Under general supervision, the Police Clerk & Typist will be assigned to District A-1.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Typing reports, letters, memorandums, and other correspondence.

Data entry.

Answering telephone inquiries.

Giving information to the public over the phone and in person.

Maintaining files and records.

Addressing and mailing correspondence.

Performing related work as required.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

Applicants must have at least two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in administrative office work.

It is strongly preferred that all applicants have proficiency with Microsoft applications and Google Suite.

Must be able to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.

Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.

CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK REQUIRED

A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST IS REQUIRED
