Pay: $170,000.00 – $215,000.00 per year
Job description:
A highly respected plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Lower Manhattan is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney Team Leader to manage a high-volume caseload from intake through settlement. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys owning their cases, mentoring a small team, and practicing in a collaborative environment without the expectation of trying cases.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a caseload of approximately 250–350 general personal injury matters from inception through settlement.
- Handle all aspects of pre-litigation and litigation, including investigation, case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, negotiations, and client communication.
- Negotiate settlements and maximize case value.
- Supervise and mentor a team consisting of one Associate, one Paralegal, and additional professional support staff.
- Collaborate with the Managing Attorney and Partners on case strategy while maintaining autonomy over your own docket.
- Ensure exceptional client service and timely case progression.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience.
- Proven experience managing a substantial personal injury caseload independently.
- Strong negotiation, litigation, and case management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to effectively lead and mentor support staff.
- Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
