Suburban Law firm is seeking an experienced personal injury paralegal to join their firm! This candidate will support a highly-regarded personal injury attorney with all facets of his practice, and will truly become an integral and valued part of the firm. Requirements include at least 6 months of solid plaintiff litigation experience required, excellent critical thinking and organizational skills, superior references and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. In return, the firm offers a 35 hour work week, flexible hours, no parking expense and a relaxed work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorney with all phases of personal injury cases, including case intake, investigation, and documentation.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
- Coordinate client interviews and gather pertinent information through effective interviewing techniques.
- Prepare for mediations, and court hearings by organizing exhibits and supporting materials.
- Maintain accurate case management records, monitor deadlines, and ensure compliance with procedural law requirements.
- Handle confidential information with discretion while providing executive administrative support as needed.
Experience
- At least 6 months of Paralegal experience specializing in personal injury law or civil litigation support is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of procedural law, legal drafting, and litigation processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and case management software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
- Experience handling confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Knowledge of legal administrative processes such as filing procedures and document review.
