Job Description
Our client within the legal industry is seeking a Patent Clerk to join their team in Toronto, ON. This is a full-time permanent position operating in a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate must have experience filing PATENT applications for both USPTO and CIPO. Perks:

Preparing and filing patent applications for CIPO, USPTO, WIPO, and other foreign jurisdiction
Reviewing and analyzing documents.
Preparing formal legal documents for filing with various PTOs, including but not limited to Inventorship Declarations, Assignments, and Powers of Attorney.
Providing clerical support for freedom to operate, validity opinions, oppositions, and licensing.
Managing multiple priorities and ensuring important deadlines are met.
Reviewing correspondences and ensuring actions are taken appropriately.
Corresponding with clients and foreign associates.
Performing any other tasks that may be assigned.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience with patent prosecution/trademarks.
Must have experience with filing patent applications for both USPTO and CIPO.
Experience with Patsi or Patricia software preferred.
Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and statuses.
Excellent client service skills and interpersonal skills.
Energetic, accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment, and capable of working effectively under pressure.
