About the Role
We are looking for a licensed U.S. Patent Attorney with strong technical expertise and a passion for helping clients secure valuable patent and trademark protection. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking meaningful work, professional growth, and a collaborative online work environment of experienced patent attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and prosecute patent and trademark applications in the USPTO
Conduct prior art searches and patentability/trademark analyses
Provide strategic IP counseling and opinions
Manage client portfolios and respond to office actions
Collaborate with clients, inventors, and foreign counsel
Participate in client development and firm growth initiatives
Qualifications
Must be a registered Patent Attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar
Undergraduate or advanced degree in ME or EE Engineering, field (strongly preferred)
2+ years of patent prosecution experience drafting patents
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Capable of working from home, self-motivated
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and time-management abilities
