Workers’ Compensation Legal Assistant / Case Manager
Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA (Onsite)
Hours: M-F; 8 AM- 5 PM
Core Responsibilities: Manage workers’ compensation files from intake through resolution Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and settlement documentation Maintain accurate case calendars and ensure all statutory deadlines are met Assist attorneys and hearing representatives with hearing preparation and case strategy Track medical treatment and lien issues Proactively follow up on outstanding records, reports, and benefits Identify and designate treating MPN physicians Draft pleadings/documents, including advocacy letters, petitions, and pre-trial conference statements Communicate with clients and outside counsel as requested Communicate with clients to direct and gather information about their legal issues
Experience 2+ years of California Workers’ Compensation experience Applicant representation experience Bilingual in Spanish (preferred) Excellent legal writing and document drafting skills Highly organized with strong time management and deadline tracking skills Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to follow up effectively with minimal oversight ,
