Job Responsibility:
Industrial Relations & Employee Relations
- Manage and coordinate Industrial Relations matters, including disciplinary cases, misconduct investigations, domestic inquiries, grievances and employee complaints in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
- Provide guidance and advisory support to line managers and employees on employment-related matters to ensure fair, consistent and compliant application of HR policies, procedures and employment practices.
- Facilitate the resolution of employee relations issues through effective communication, investigation and conflict resolution processes while promoting a positive and harmonious work environment.
- Coordinate and monitor Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) cases for non-confirmed and underperforming employees, ensuring timely follow-up, proper documentation and adherence to established procedures.
- Liaise and coordinate with relevant external agencies and authorities, including the Labour Department, Industrial Relations Department and other statutory bodies on employment-related matters.
HR Policy, Governance & Compliance
- Support the development, review, implementation and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, guidelines and Terms & Conditions of Service to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, labour laws and organisational needs.
- Coordinate HR governance and compliance activities, including policy reviews, compliance assessments, audit engagements and regulatory submissions relating to HR matters.
- Support the management of HR risk and compliance matters, including responsibilities relating to Risk Coordinator and Designated Compliance Officer functions, where applicable.
- Maintain and monitor HR governance documentation, policy registers and compliance records to ensure accuracy, completeness and readiness for audit, regulatory review and management reporting.
Others
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening HR governance, compliance practices, employee relations processes and operational effectiveness.
- Prepare reports, updates and analysis relating to Industrial Relations, governance and compliance matters to support management decision-making.
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirement:
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Law or other related disciplines.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, particularly in Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, HR Governance and Compliance.
- Good understanding of the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967 and other relevant employment-related legislation and regulations.
- Knowledge of HR policies, governance frameworks, compliance requirements and employee relations practices.
