Paralegal Part-Time Hybrid Jobs in Hartford, CT at Center for Children’s Advocacy
Center for Children’s Advocacy has an opening for a hybrid part-time paralegal position. This position will assist attorneys with case file management, client and family meetings, screenings and interviews as well as interpretation and translation, where needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain case files in our case management system;
- Prepare and submit court filings primarily in Juvenile Court and Probate Court;
- Conduct screenings and intake interviews with potential clients;
- Provide interpretation & translation support, as needed;
- Provide information and referrals, as appropriate, and follow up with clients after services are provided;
- Provide administrative support including requesting client records, drafting letters, organizing files, preparing for trainings and clinics; and
- Work on special projects as needed.
Qualifications

populations in addition to strong administrative skills. Ideal candidates will have:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills;
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team;
- Ability to create order in a fast-paced environment;
- Two or more years of related experience;
- Knowledge of trauma-informed services is a plus; and
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in both Spanish and English is a plus.
Salary: $23.00-$25.00 per hour depending on experience
